The 2018 Jeffco Fair & Festival is seeking volunteer groups and individuals for exciting volunteer roles!

JEFFCO FAIR & FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER BENEFITS

Volunteers are essential to the Jeffco Fair & Festival. We recognize the time they devote and provide benefits to them as a thank-you for their service.

All volunteers will receive:
  • FREE general admission to the event for volunteers AND one (1) friend!
  • Volunteer t-shirt and credentials.
  • Access to volunteer hospitality suite with beverages and snacks.

Volunteer Qualifications

Being a Jeffco Fairgrounds Volunteer is a rewarding, yet demanding role. Here is what you need to know before you start your application.

Availability

Event: The 2018 event takes place August 10 - 12 with the majority of volunteer shifts occurring during as well leading up to and following these dates. Volunteer shifts generally are 4 - 5 hours each.

Training: Volunteers must participate in the following training.

Online training: Our web-based training, to be completed on your own prior to orientation, will be available starting June 15, 2018.
Volunteer Orientation: Volunteers will choose one of the following dates and time to attend on-site orientation at Jeffco Fairgrounds and to receive appropriate credentials and volunteer swag.
    • Thursday, August 2: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
    • Friday, August 3: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
    • Saturday, August 4: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Admissions/Ticketing Training: for those volunteers who choose volunteer shifts that involve selling and scanning of tickets as well Guest Relation shifts. Those volunteers will choose one of the following dates and time to attend on-site admissions/ticketing training at Jeffco Fairgrounds.
    • Sunday, August 5: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
    • Monday, August 6: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
    • Tuesday, August 7: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Paperwork
  • All potential volunteers must complete an online volunteer application for consideration.
  • For those individuals who are interested in volunteering only at the Jeffco Fair & Festival and meet any current operational and event needs, our team will send over a Volunteer Release Form that must be completed and returned to our office prior to Volunteer Orientation.
  • For those individuals who are interested in volunteering regularly at Jeffco Fairgrounds and meet any current operational and event needs, our team will be in contact with additional required paperwork for a criminal background check, a Volunteer Service Agreement and other pertinent paperwork.
Requirements
  • All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
  • All potential volunteers must complete an online volunteer application for consideration.
  • Volunteers must complete and return any required paperwork.
  • Volunteers must attend and participate in required training.
